There are amazing powers asleep within you only awaiting you to release them; the key being the development of your self-confidence. There are many things that at first glance seem impossible or cryptic and pure nonsense.
To gain an understanding of this let me use the martial arts as an example. When you first walk into a school you see some people stumbling and tripping over their own feet and other people moving in ways you never thought people could move. The difference between these two groups is not only the training but the self-confidence they have gain within themselves.
When you begin training you learn the basics, how to stand, how the make a fist, how to punch and kick. You are only taught the basics and you also begin learning a form. A form is a series of movements, kicks, punches, blocks and stances all aimed at training the body and mind to work together. You practice these forms until be flow without even thinking and that in turn builds your self-confidence.
When you begin learning these moves you have no clue why you are doing them or what they can be used for. You may realize some are blocks while others are kicks and strikes, but you are not sure where you are hitting or what type of block you are making. The whole process is to develop you overall and your self-confidence in your ability to do what is being asked of you.
As time goes by you learn harder and more difficult forms, punches, kicks, jumping spinning kicks and you are doing the things that the skilled people were doing when you first walked in months ago. It’s then that you realize what you “thought” was impossible is now possible and your self-confidence grows even more.
There also comes a day when the instructor now tells you that you must break down all the forms you’ve learned and tell him what each move is for. You begin to look at every move more closely and realize that what you thought was one move is in reality two or more. When you try to figure out what the move are doing and are informed by the instructor what they are truly doing that your mind opens up even more with the realization of what you are doing.
As one piece is exposed everything else begins to make sense. What you thought was a block was actually a through, what you believed was a punch was a block; with each new piece to the puzzle everything begins to make sense and you understand more and more without the instructor needing to tell you.
This is true too in breaking boards. At first you look at this piece of wood and say you cannot do it; and you are right because your mind is not ready, your self-confidence is not ready. As you train the development of your hand what you are actually training is your mind and your self-confidence; you are training yourself into believing that you CAN do it.
The day comes when you break your first board and you realize how easy it was; after that two, three and more boards are easy to break. What is the limit? It is set in your mind and controlled by your self-confidence.
What is described above is the same everywhere else. Read a book today and only part of it may make sense, read the same book years later after learning more and developing your mind and self-confidence and you may come away with a whole new meaning that you did the first time you read it.
Your mind and its ability are unlimited and confined only by your beliefs and your self-confidence. To tap more of your minds abilities you must build and grow your self-confidence; only by this means will you be capable of true success.
You have the ability to do so, believe in yourself and build your self-confidence, together these tow feed each other so make them work for you.
